MINCEMEAT COOKIES

1/2 cup flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp soda

1/4 cup shortening

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg

1/4 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup chopped nuts

3/4 cup mincemeat plus a little lemon juice

Mix all ingredients to be creamed  shortening, sugar, egg,

salt, lemon juice, and cream well

then add the dry ingredients

now fold in mincemeat

Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet and bake

at 3:50 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes
